Guiding Texans Through The Legal Process With Skill And Care Since 1985
Biography
Heidi Coughlin is the Managing Shareholder of Wright & Greenhill P.C. She is the youngest person to hold this position in over 20 years. In addition to other honors, she was recognized by Texas Super Lawyers® magazine, an Internet Brands publication, as a Rising Star from 2014 to 2017, and again as a Super Lawyer from 2017 to 2025. In 2017, she was also named among the Top 100 Rising Stars and the Top 50 Female Super Lawyers Rising Stars. In 2020, Heidi’s trial experience earned her an invitation to join the prestigious ranks of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). She currently serves as the Secretary of the Austin chapter of ABOTA and was recently elected to serve as President-Elect beginning 2026. Heidi believes deeply in the jury system and strives to exhibit the virtues of civility, integrity, and professionalism in her work on behalf of clients.
Heidi represents individuals, businesses, and corporations in numerous types of civil and commercial litigation, including matters in which parties sought the recovery of millions of dollars. She is a seasoned trial attorney who has argued numerous cases to jury verdicts and takes clients on both sides of the docket. As defense counsel, she has won verdicts and summary judgements that she and her team have defended up to the Texas Supreme Court. As plaintiff’s counsel, she has handled complex litigation against the nation’s largest law firms and has successfully prosecuted catastrophic personal injury cases.
Lastly, Heidi is one of the first—if not the first—attorney to practice cannabis law in Texas. Since the inception of the Compassionate Use Act, she has served as regulatory counsel for the only Texas-based company lawfully selling low-THC cannabis in the state. She has a deep understanding of these laws and regulations that makes her well-equipped to advise companies involved in Hemp or CBD businesses as they navigate a complex legal landscape.
