Madalena Almanza

Madalena Almanza is an associate attorney at Wright & Greenhill P.C. As a second-year attorney, her practice includes a broad range of civil litigation matters, including civil rights defense, personal injury, premises liability, construction, and other tort and commercial disputes. She works closely with senior attorneys on complex litigation matters from inception through resolution.

An Austin native and avid Longhorn, Ms. Almanza earned her B.A. in Anthropology, with a minor in Human Rights & Social Justice, from The University of Texas at Austin. During college, she gained experience through judicial and legislative internships, as well as legal research positions. As a research assistant for Professor William Kelly, she conducted research and co-authored a chapter for his book on policing in the U.S. She also interned for Judge Julie Kocurek, Judge Brandy Mueller, and Congressman Lloyd Doggett, experiences that helped develop the research, writing, and analytical skills she brings to her litigation practice today.

Her legal education took her to West Texas, where she earned her J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law. While there, she served as Managing Editor of the Texas Tech Law Review and became a published author. After graduation, she began her legal career at Underwood Law Firm in Amarillo, where she gained experience in civil and fiduciary litigation, as well as probate, guardianship, estate planning, and real estate, before returning to her hometown to join Wright & Greenhill in January 2026.
