Blair J. Leake

Austin, Texas

I was born in Dallas, Texas, and I still don't think my fellow Austinites have ever forgiven me for it. After graduating from Mesquite High School, I attended the University of Texas at Austin and earned a bachelor's degree in History. During that time, I worked as a sports writer for the Daily Texan, interned at ESPN Radio, and ended up starting my sports writing career after college by covering college sports and recruiting for a subsidiary of Yahoo Sports.

Eventually, I decided to switch gears and embrace advocating for people rather than advocating for opinions on the sports page. After enrolling at the University of Houston Law Center, I quickly gravitated toward competing in just about every trial advocacy competition I could find while also interning with the Harris County District Attorney's Office. I finished law school with accolades that included the Hofheinz Award for top advocate of the year, the Byron McCoy Excellence in Advocacy Award, the Distinguished Advocate Award, and an induction into the National Order of the Barristers.

After graduating from law school, I jumped at the chance to try cases alongside my father at Leake Law Firm, PLLC, where I spent most of my time successfully representing individuals and small businesses in jury trials, bench trials, and summary judgment hearings across North Texas. After a few years, my wife, Erin, and I decided to move back to Austin, the city we both had always loved and her hometown, when I was given the opportunity to join and learn from the talented host of trial attorneys at Wright & Greenhill, PC.
