Ms. Coughlin was admitted to the Texas Bar in 2007.

Born in Connecticut, Ms. Coughlin moved to Texas in 2000 and graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a B.A. in Communications, cum laude, concentrating in Public Relations. She was President of Alpha Chi Honors Fraternity and a National Delegate for the Mortar Board.  She attended law school at The University of Texas School of Law and The University of Cape Town Law School, South Africa, specializing in Constitutional Law and Human Rights. Ms. Coughlin received her J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2007 where she was selected as a member of the Board of Barristers, named to the 2006 National Mock Trial team, and was an active member of Phi Alpha Delta and the TechLap Mentor Program.
